The environment and recycling are values that we instill in children from an early age, one of the best ways to show our involvement is to help them make children's crafts with recycled materials, such as rolls of paper.
This cute chick made with a toilet paper tube is very fun to do with children, in addition to learning to recycle they also develop their motor skills, and you will have a nice decorative object for the children's room.
- A roll of toilet paper
- Yellow felt
- Orange felt
- White felt
- Black felt
- Marker pen
- Pair of scissors
1. Cut out two circles from the yellow felt, leaving a small tab. To cover the holes in the roll. Cut another piece of felt the same length as the height of the roll and long enough to go around it. Glue it all carefully onto the roll.
2. Draw and cut out two legs and the chick's beak on orange felt. Glue the beak to the middle of the roll, and draw the nostrils with a marker. Glue the legs to the base (remember to leave a tab so they don't overlap)
3. On white felt, draw two white circles and two smaller black ones. Cut them out, stick the black circles on top of the white ones and these on the toilet paper roll.
4. Glue the feathers on the top and sides to make the wings, let them dry, and that's it!
